Almond Milk Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the Almonds

Place the raw almonds in a bowl and cover them with water. Let them soak for at least 8 hours or overnight.

  2. 2

    Drain and Rinse

After soaking, drain the almonds and rinse them under cold water.

  3. 3

    Blend the Almonds

Add the soaked almonds and 4 cups of fresh water to a blender. Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

    Strain the Mixture

Using a nut milk bag or a fine mesh strainer, strain the almond mixture into a large bowl or pitcher. Squeeze and press to extract as much liquid as possible.

  5. 5

    Add Flavorings

Pour the strained almond milk back into the blender and add vanilla extract, salt, and sweetener if using. Blend briefly to combine.

  6. 6

    Store the Almond Milk

Transfer the almond milk to a sealed container and refrigerate. Shake well before each use. Enjoy within 4-5 days.
