Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Gnocchi

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Cheese Mixture

  1. 2

    Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, and gorgonzola cheeses. Mix until well blended. Set aside.

Sauce

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Combine Everything

In a large baking dish, combine the cooked gnocchi with the cheese mixture and pour the sauce over the top. Gently stir to combine everything evenly.

Topping

  1. 5

    Add Breadcrumbs

In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and olive oil. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the gnocchi and cheese mixture in the baking dish.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Gnocchi

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the gnocchi for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
