Chocolate Hazelnut Torte Ingredients
Method
Chocolate Hazelnut Torte Directions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a round cake pan (about 9 inches in diameter) with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 3
Mix the Sugar and Eggs
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until pale and fluffy.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly to combine.
- 5
Add Dry Ingredients
Sift together the ground hazelnuts, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
- 6
Bake the Torte
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Allow the torte to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve with Baileys anglaise.
