Togarashi Seared Ahi Tuna Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

Season the Ahi Tuna steaks with salt, pepper, and togarashi spice on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Tuna

In a hot skillet, add olive oil and sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Remove from heat and let it rest.

  3. 3

    Make the Nori Aioli

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with finely chopped toasted nori. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Plate the Dish

Slice the seared tuna into thin strips. On a plate, arrange the seaweed salad and place the tuna slices on top. Drizzle with unagi sauce and serve with a side of wonton chips and nori aioli.

  5. 5

    Finish with Garnish

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the tuna and garnish with additional nori if desired.
