Preparation
- 1
Cutting Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into waffle shapes using a waffle cutter or a knife, ensuring they are evenly sized for uniform cooking.

Frying
- 3
Heating Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accurate measurement.
- 4
Drying Potatoes
After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 5
Frying Potatoes
Carefully add a batch of the dried waffle fries to the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Draining Fries
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Immediately sprinkle with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to season.
- 7
Repeat
Repeat the frying process for the remaining batches of waffle fries, ensuring the oil temperature remains consistent.
Serving

Garnishing
Once all the fries are cooked, serve them hot. Optionally, sprinkle with chili powder, grated Parmesan cheese, and fresh chopped parsley for added flavor.
- 9
Dipping
Serve with ketchup and ranch dressing on the side for dipping. Enjoy your delicious waffle fries!
