Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Glass
Start by chilling an old-fashioned glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz of Old Forester Bourbon, 0.5 oz of simple syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with 1 cup of ice. Stir the mixture for about 30 seconds to chill and dilute the drink properly.
- 4
Strain and Serve
Empty the ice water from the chilled old-fashioned glass. Strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
- 5
Garnish
Express the oil from an orange peel over the drink and drop it into the glass as a garnish.
