Ranch Dipping Sauce

Method

Fried Pickles

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading

In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Coat the Pickles

Dip the dill pickle chips first into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture until evenly coated.

  5. 5

    Fry the Pickles

Carefully place the coated pickle chips into the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary, until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).

  6. 6

    Drain the Pickles

Remove the fried pickles with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  4. 10

    Fry the Jalapenos

Carefully place the coated jalapenos into the hot oil and fry until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
