Method
Fried Chicken Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk with salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Add the boneless chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- 2
Prepare the Dredging Station
In a shallow dish, add the all-purpose flour and season it with a bit of salt and pepper. Mix well.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Remove each chicken thigh from the buttermilk marinade, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the seasoned flour, pressing lightly to adhere. Fry the chicken in the hot oil for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Taco Assembly
- 4

On each warm tortilla, layer the shredded lettuce, fried chicken pieces, pico de gallo, cotija cheese, sliced jalapenos, and a drizzle of avocado crema and chipotle lime ranch dressing.
- 6
Serve
Fold the tortillas in half and serve immediately. Enjoy your HH Fried Chicken Tacos!
