Tiramisu Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and coffee liqueur (if using). Whip the mixture until it forms soft peaks.
- 2
Dip the Ladyfingers
In a shallow dish, pour the cooled espresso coffee. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee for about 1-2 seconds and arrange them in a single layer in a rectangular dish.
- 3
Layer the Tiramisu
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of soaked ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 4
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
