Method

Making Gnocchetti

1

Prepare Potatoes

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and let cool slightly.

2

Make Dough

Peel the potatoes and mash them in a bowl. Add flour, egg, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.

3

Shape Gnocchetti

Divide the dough into small pieces, roll into ropes, and cut into small gnocchi pieces. Use a fork to press and shape them.

4

Cook Gnocchetti

Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the gnocchi and cook until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.

Making Pesto Sauce

5

Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan. Pulse until chopped.

6

Add Olive Oil

With the processor running, slowly drizzle in olive oil. Blend until smooth. Season with salt to taste.

Making Bolognese Sauce

7

Sauté Vegetables

In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Sauté until softened.

8

Cook Ground Beef

Add ground beef to the pan. Cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano.

9

Add Tomatoes

Stir in canned tomatoes. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
