Method
Preparing Tofu
- 1
Drain and Slice Tofu
Remove the firm tofu from its packaging, drain any excess water, and slice it into 1-inch thick pieces.
- 2
Cook Tofu
In a non-stick pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced tofu and sprinkle with salt. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and slightly crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
Preparing Spicy Pork
- 3
Cook Pork Belly
In the same pan used for tofu, add the pork belly over medium heat. Cook until the pork is browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Add Seasonings
Once the pork is cooked, add the minced garlic, Korean red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the pork is well-coated with the spicy sauce.
- 5
Garnish
Sprinkle sesame seeds over the spicy pork and remove from heat.
Assembling the Dish
- 6
Combine Kimchi and Vegetables
In a bowl, mix the napa cabbage kimchi, chopped green onions, and julienned carrot until well combined.
- 7
Serve
On a serving plate, arrange the crispy tofu slices, top them with the spicy pork mixture, and finally add the kimchi and vegetable mix on the side. Enjoy your Tofu Kimchi!
