Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under cold water and chop it roughly. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Slice the green onions, separating the white parts from the green tops. Peel the carrot and cut it into thin slices.

Drain the bean curd (tofu) and cut it into cubes, approximately 1-inch in size.
