Preparation of BlackBerry Beverage

Wash and Prepare Blackberries
Rinse the fresh blackberries under cold running water to remove any dirt or impurities. Drain and set aside.

Simmer the Mixture
Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes until the blackberries have softened and the mixture has thickened slightly.

Strain the Syrup
After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture into a clean bowl or pitcher, pressing down on the blackberries to extract as much liquid as possible.

Add Lemon Juice
Stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice into the strained blackberry syrup to enhance the flavor.

Let the blackberry syrup cool to room temperature before refrigerating it for at least 1 hour to chill.
