Filling and Wrapping

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dates

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating, slice each Medjool date lengthwise on one side and remove the pit. Be careful not to cut all the way through.

  2. 2

    Fill the Dates

Using a small spoon or your fingers, fill each date with approximately a teaspoon of goat cheese. Press the cheese gently into the date.

  3. 3

    Wrap the Dates

Cut each slice of prosciutto in half lengthwise. Wrap one half of prosciutto around each stuffed date, covering it completely. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.

  4. 4

    Bake the Dates

Place the wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the dates from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with fresh rosemary and black pepper before serving.
