Traditional Guacamole

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Dice the tomato, finely chop the onion, and chop the cilantro.

    Mash the Avocados

    Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocado to your desired consistency—smooth or chunky.

    Combine Ingredients

    Add the diced tomato, chopped onion, lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocado. Mix well until combined.

    Taste and Adjust Seasoning

    Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, lime juice, or black pepper as desired.

    Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and serve with tortilla chips or fresh vegetables.
