Shrimp Marinade

Method

Marinating the Shrimp

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

Add the peeled and deveined Gulf shrimp to the marinade. Toss gently to ensure that all shrimp are evenly coated.

  3. 3

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

Grilling the Shrimp

  1. 4

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 5

Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.

  3. 6

Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and slightly charred.

  4. 7

Remove the shrimp from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

  5. 8

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
