Method

Prepare the Fries

  1. 1

    Fry the Potatoes

Preheat the oven or deep fryer according to the package instructions for the frozen French fries. If using a deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Cook the Fries

Cook the frozen French fries in the oven or deep fryer until golden brown and crispy, typically about 20-25 minutes if baking or 5-7 minutes if frying.

  3. 3

    Drain and Set Aside

Once cooked, remove the fries from the fryer or oven and drain any excess oil. Set aside.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 4

    Chop the Vegetables

Finely chop the red onion and cilantro. Set aside for later use.

Make the Azteca Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, chipotle powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Azteca Fries

  1. 6

    Layer the Fries

On a large serving plate or tray, create a generous pile of the cooked fries.

  2. 7

    Add Cheese and Bacon

Sprinkle the mixed shredded cheese evenly over the hot fries, followed by the confetti bacon.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Top with chopped red onion and fresh cilantro.

  4. 9

    Drizzle with Azteca Sauce

Drizzle the prepared Azteca sauce over the entire pile of fries. Serve immediately.
