Method

Preparation of Prawns

  1. 1

    Clean the Prawns

Rinse the tiger prawns under cold running water to remove any dirt. Use a knife to devein the prawns by making a shallow incision along the back and removing the dark vein.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Prawns

In a mixing bowl, combine lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the cleaned tiger prawns to the bowl and toss well to coat. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Cooking the Prawns

  1. 3

    Cook the Prawns

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the marinated tiger prawns. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

  2. 4

    Chill the Prawns

Once cooked, remove the prawns from the pot and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Allow them to chill for about 5-10 minutes.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Prawns

Drain the chilled prawns and arrange them on a serving platter. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.

  2. 6

    Add Accompaniments

Serve chilled tiger prawns with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
