Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filet Tenderloin

Take the filet tenderloin pieces out of the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Meat

Pat the filet tenderloins dry with paper towels. Rub each piece with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Sear the Tenderloin

Add the seasoned filet tenderloins to the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a golden crust forms.

  3. 5

    Flip and Cook

Carefully flip the filet tenderloins using tongs. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  4. 6

    Rest the Meat

Remove the filet tenderloins from the skillet and transfer them to a plate. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.

Optional Sides Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare Asparagus

While the meat is resting, prepare asparagus by trimming the ends. Heat a little olive oil in the same skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.

  2. 8

    Bake Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Wrap baked potatoes in foil and place them directly on the oven rack. Bake for 45-60 minutes until tender.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate and Serve

Slice the filet tenderloins and serve on plates with the sautéed asparagus and baked potatoes on the side. Enjoy your gourmet meal!
