Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into fry shapes. Soak them in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.

  3. 3

    Make the Debris Gravy

In a saucepan, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent. Add the shredded beef roast and cook for a few minutes. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir until combined. Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring to prevent lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce and black pepper, then simmer until thickened.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Lunch Box Fries

Place a generous amount of fries on a serving plate. Pour debris gravy over the fries, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Drizzle ranch dressing on top before serving.
