Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, wash and slice the lettuce, tomato, and onion.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by a patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, some onion rings, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides.
