Churros Ingredients

Method

Churros Directions

1

Prepare the Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.

2

Add Eggs

Let the dough cool for a few minutes, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and shiny.

3

Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

4

Pipe the Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough directly into the hot oil, cutting with scissors to release them.

5

Fry the Churros

Fry the churros for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

6

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

In a shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Roll the fried churros in the mixture while they are still warm.

7

Serve

Serve the churros warm, with chocolate sauce or your favorite dipping sauce if desired.
