Scallops

Method

Preparing Scallops

  1. 1

    Clean and Season Scallops

Rinse the sea scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until it starts to foam.

  3. 3

    Sear the Scallops

Place the seasoned scallops in the pan, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they develop a golden-brown crust. Flip them over and sear for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Making the Butter Sauce

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet used for the scallops, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

  2. 5

    Add Lemon Juice and Parsley

Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley, cooking for an additional minute. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Scallops

Arrange the seared scallops on a serving plate. Drizzle the butter sauce over the scallops.

  2. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with lemon wedges and additional parsley. Serve immediately while hot.
