Method

Wontons Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, softened cream cheese, finely chopped green onions, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Fill the Wontons

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the crab mixture into the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to form a triangle, and press the edges tightly to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Wontons

Carefully add the filled wontons to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve

Arrange the crispy wontons on a serving platter and serve warm with sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping.
