Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wedge

Cut the head of wedge lettuce into quarters. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Slice the Tomato

Chop the large tomato into wedges or slices, depending on your preference.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Dressing

In a bowl, combine 1 cup of buttermilk, 4 oz of crumbled Kentucky bleu cheese, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and salt and black pepper to taste. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook 4 slices of Benton's bacon until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Salad

On a plate, place a wedge of lettuce. Top with sliced tomatoes, sprinkle with 2 oz of buttermilk bleu cheese crumbles, and crumble the crispy bacon over the top.

  3. 6

    Drizzle with Dressing

Generously drizzle the prepared Kentucky bleu cheese dressing over the salad. Serve immediately.
