Pasta Preparation

Cook the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Prepare the Seafood
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add mussels, clams, and shrimp to the skillet. Cook until mussels and clams open and shrimp turn pink, about 5-7 minutes. Discard any unopened mussels or clams.

Add Sauce and Vegetables
Stir in sambal oelek, red pepper flakes, spinach, and fresh basil. Cook until the spinach is wilted, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to combine with the seafood and sauce. If the mixture seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Serve

Plate the Fire Pasta
Serve the pasta hot, garnished with additional basil if desired. Enjoy!
