Preparing the Filet Mignon

Season the Steak
Generously season the 8 oz prime filet mignon with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Sear the Steak
Add the seasoned filet mignon to the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned.

Cook to Desired Doneness
Flip the steak and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time to achieve desired doneness.

Making the Peppercorn Sauce

Add Peppercorns
Stir in the fresh cracked peppercorns and cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to infuse.

Deglaze with Beef Broth
Pour in the beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Bring to a simmer and reduce by half, about 5 minutes.

Finish with Cream and Worcestershire
Stir in the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat, garnish with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately over the filet mignon.
