Mushroom Caps

Method

Preparation of Mushroom Caps

  1. 1

    Clean and Prepare Mushroom Caps

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the large mushroom caps with a damp cloth to remove any dirt and gently remove the stems. Set the caps aside.

  2. 2

    Drizzle with Olive Oil

Place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over each cap, ensuring they are lightly coated. This will help them roast evenly.

Crab Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the dungeness crab meat, shredded mozzarella cheese, softened cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped green onions, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Stuffing and Baking

  1. 4

    Stuff the Mushroom Caps

Using a spoon, generously fill each mushroom cap with the crab filling mixture, pressing down slightly to pack it in.

  2. 5

    Bake the Stuffed Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushroom caps in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the mushrooms are tender.

  3. 6

    Serve

Remove the mushroom caps from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious crab stuffed mushroom caps!
