Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuit
Nutella Monkey Bread
Method
Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuit
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cut in Butter
Add the cubed cold butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Cheese and Jalapeno
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and finely chopped jalapeno until evenly distributed.
Add Buttermilk
Pour in the buttermilk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it into a 1-inch thick round and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
Bake
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
Nutella Monkey Bread
Prepare the Dough
Open the cans of pre-made biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
Coat with Sugar and Cinnamon
In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Toss the biscuit pieces in this mixture until well coated.
Layer the Dough
Grease a bundt pan and layer half of the coated biscuit pieces at the bottom. Drizzle half of the Nutella over them. Repeat with the remaining biscuit pieces and Nutella.
Pour Butter
Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the biscuit and Nutella layers.
Bake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Cool and Serve
Allow the monkey bread to cool for a few minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate. Pull apart pieces to serve.
