Preparation of Fish

Clean and Prepare the Snapper
Rinse the whole snapper under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Make three diagonal slashes on each side of the fish.

Season the Fish
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Rub this mixture all over the fish, including inside the slashes.

Prepare the Coating
Place the all-purpose flour in a shallow dish. Dredge the seasoned snapper in the flour, ensuring it is fully coated on all sides.

Frying the Fish

Heat the Oil
In a large, deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Snapper
Carefully place the coated snapper in the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the fish is golden brown and cooked through.

Drain the Fish
Once cooked, remove the fish from the oil and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
