Pork Chop

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, dried oregano, paprika, and lemon juice. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork Chops

Place the pork chops in a large zip-lock bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Pork Chops

Remove the pork chops from the marinade and shake off excess. Place them on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  3. 5

    Rest the Meat

Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a tender chop.
