Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

Making the Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain the potatoes and dry them thoroughly. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

Making the Garlic Butter

  1. 5

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in chopped parsley and remove from heat.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Slice the ribeye steak against the grain. Serve alongside a generous portion of fries, drizzled with garlic butter.
