Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This will ensure even cooking and crispiness of the Brussels sprouts.
- 2
Trim and Halve Brussels Sprouts
Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water. Trim off the ends and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Halve each Brussels sprout lengthwise.
Seasoning
- 3
Season the Brussels Sprouts
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until they are well coated.
Roasting
- 4
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through for even cooking.
Making the Balsamic Glaze
- 5
Prepare the Balsamic Glaze
In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
Serving
- 6
Serve the Brussels Sprouts
Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and drizzle them with the balsamic glaze. Toss to coat, and serve warm.
