Prep the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thick strips, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide.

Dry the Potatoes
Drain the water and pat the potatoes dry with a clean kitchen towel.

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
