Pulled Pork
Method
Cooking Process
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a marinade.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Rub the marinade all over the pork shoulder and let it sit for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator for best results.
- 3
Cook the Pork
Place the marinated pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Pour BBQ sauce over the top. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 4
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Shred the pork using two forks.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwiches
Place the shredded pork on the buns and top with coleslaw. Drizzle additional BBQ sauce if desired.
