Apple Burger Ingredients

Method

Apple Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Finely chop the onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Core and slice the apple into thin rounds.

  2. 2

    Toast the Almonds

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the almonds for about 5 minutes until they are golden and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chopped mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Mix the Burger Patty

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed mushrooms mixture, and toasted almonds. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.

  5. 5

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

  6. 6

    Cook the Patties

Heat the remaining olive oil in the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On each burger bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, and top with a slice of apple.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the apple burgers warm with your favorite condiments or side dishes.
