Bread Pudding
Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 2
Prepare the Bread
Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in the greased baking dish.
- 3
Mix the Custard
In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- 4
Combine and Add Chocolate
Pour the custard mixture over the bread, ensuring all pieces are soaked. Sprinkle the white chocolate chips evenly over the top.
- 5
Bake
Allow the bread mixture to sit for about 15 minutes to soak up the custard, then bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Let the bread pudding cool for a few minutes before serving warm with Russell's Whiskey Sauce.
