Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Rinse the jumbo Gulf shrimp under cold water and remove the shells and tails, leaving the shrimp deveined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add the cleaned shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C). If using a grill pan, heat it on the stove over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Shrimp

Once the grill is hot, place the marinated shrimp on the grill. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until shrimp are fully cooked and opaque.

  3. 5

    Serve

Remove the shrimp from the grill and serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
