Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.

Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until completely liquid. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.

Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool the Cake
Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
