Chicken Marinade
Method
Marinating Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
Grilling or Blackening
- 3
- 4
Cook the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. For grilling, place chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). For blackening, add a little oil to the skillet, then place the chicken in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, creating a blackened crust.
- 5
Rest and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve it with your favorite sides or on a salad.
