Preparation
- 1
Wash the greens
Rinse the mixed baby greens under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Shake off excess water and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner.
- 2
Prepare the tomatoes
Wash the cherry tomatoes and slice them in half. Set aside.
- 3
Crumble the feta
Use your fingers or a fork to crumble the feta cheese into smaller pieces. This will help it distribute evenly in the salad.
- 4
Measure the pecans
If your candied pecans are whole, roughly chop them into smaller pieces for easier eating. Measure out 1 cup.
Dressing Preparation
- 5
Make the dressing
In a small bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well combined and emulsified.
Assembly
- 6
Combine salad ingredients
In a large salad bowl, add the washed mixed baby greens, halved cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped candied pecans.
- 7
Add the dressing
Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad. Start with half of the dressing and add more to taste.
- 8
Toss the salad
Gently toss the salad using salad tongs or two large spoons until all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
Serving
- 9
Serve immediately
Transfer the salad to individual plates or serve directly from the bowl. Enjoy as a fresh and vibrant dish for any celebration!
