Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Artichokes

Drain the canned artichoke hearts and rinse them under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained artichoke hearts, bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and olive oil. If using, add chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Mash the Mixture

Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the mixture until well combined but still chunky. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Forming and Cooking

  1. 4

    Shape the Truffles

Using your hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

  2. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. 6

    Bake

Place the artichoke truffles on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove the truffles from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm as an appetizer or snack!
