Rib-Eye Steak

Herb Butter

Mashed Potatoes

Method

Preparing the Rib-Eye Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season the 44 Farms Rib-Eye Steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned rib-eye steak and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Making the Herb Butter

  1. 4

    Prepare the Herb Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, chopped fresh parsley, chopped fresh thyme, and minced garlic. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 5

    Chill the Herb Butter

Transfer the herb butter mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap, roll it into a log shape, and refrigerate until firm.

Preparing the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the russet potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add milk, unsalted butter, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.
