Rib Eye

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Baked Potato

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash the potato, prick it with a fork, rub it with olive oil and salt, then wrap it in foil. Bake for about 45-60 minutes until tender.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rib Eye

Season the rib eye steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat with a bit of olive oil. Cook the steak for about 4-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Onions

While the steak is cooking, slice the onions and sauté them in a separate pan over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Parmesan Cream

In a saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Once the steak is cooked, layer the caramelized onions on top, followed by the provolone and Swiss cheese. Let it melt slightly, then drizzle with the Parmesan cream. Serve with the baked potato on the side.
