Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add shrimp and red pepper flakes, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp are pink and cooked through. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Cream Sauce
In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Then add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Combine Pasta and Shrimp
Add the cooked penne pasta and sautéed shrimp to the skillet with the cream sauce. Toss to combine and heat through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

Serve
Plate the pasta and shrimp mixture, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with breadsticks on the side.
