Rib Eye and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rib Eye

Season the rib eye steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

  3. 3

    Make the Parmesan Cream

In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Top the cooked rib eye with a generous layer of caramelized onions, followed by provolone and Swiss cheese. Place under a broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Drizzle with Parmesan cream before serving.

  5. 5

    Serve with Baked Potato

Serve the rib eye with a classic baked potato on the side.
