Preparation and Assembly
- 1
Make the Brownies
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- 3
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Gradually fold in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 5
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 6
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
- 7
Assemble the Sundae
In a serving dish, place a square of brownie at the bottom.
- 8
Add a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top of the brownie.
- 9
Drizzle with chocolate sauce and caramel sauce generously.
- 10
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top.
- 11
Repeat layers if desired and serve immediately.
