Chicken Parmesan
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Dredge each breast in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a baking dish.
- 3
Add Sauce and Cheese
Pour marinara sauce over the chicken breasts in the baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- 4
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the chicken is cooked through.
- 5
Cook the Pasta
While the chicken is baking, cook the spaghetti or pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 6
Serve
Serve the chicken parmesan over a bed of pasta and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
