Ingredients for Burnt Ends Appetizer

Method

Directions for Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rub the pork ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place the ribs on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

  2. 2

    Fry the Ribs

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut the ribs into bite-sized pieces. In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the rib pieces in batches until crispy and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Coat with BBQ Sauce

In a large bowl, toss the fried pork rib pieces with BBQ sauce until evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the burnt ends hot, garnished with sliced pickles and red onion on the side.
