Steak and Potato

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potato

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the large baked potato under running water, then poke a few holes in it with a fork. Rub the skin with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Place it directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until tender.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

While the potato is baking, take the T-Bone steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the T-Bone steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130°F for medium-rare).

  4. 4

    Finish the Potato

Once the potato is done, carefully remove it from the oven. Cut a slit down the center and fluff the insides with a fork. Add butter, sour cream, and chives to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the grilled T-Bone steak alongside the baked potato. Enjoy your perfectly grilled steak with a delicious baked potato!
